Saturn in Capricorn
This past Wednesday, December 20, 2017, Saturn left Sagittarius and entered into Capricorn. Saturn has a 28 year cycle, meaning that Saturn has not been in capricorn, its dignity, for 28 years. For the past two and a half years Saturn has been in idealistic Saggitarius showing us how to hone in on our ideals for the future, teaching us how to harness the energies to follow our highest path. Now that Saturn is in Capricorn, the work can truly start. This is a time for great diligence and stength. We will be asked to building structures and foundation like never before for our future. Since we have our vision out of the way, thanks to Saturn in Sagittarius, it is time to get down to the grind of making our vision a reality. Saturn has a lot to do with the ‘real world’ and what we are able to do with the materiality of our universe. So as we move into this phase of Saturn it is important to see where this hard work will be needed. Where in our charts does Capricorn live? (if you don't know this, please email me and I can let you know with the help of your birth date, time, and place) This is the part of your life that will be restructured and rebuilt to last for a very long time.
Time has everything to do with both Saturn and Capricorn. The essence of time and the elapse of time. This period of time will feel longer and harder than other periods do. This is because Saturn likes to take its time, to make sure everything is done correctly and will last. Saturn represents tradition, and times past as well, so as Saturn sets forth to build new things, it is interested in being able to make them new transitions and have the ability to last a life time.
If you are currently around 28 years of age then you will be experiencing your Saturn Return. You were born with Saturn in Capricorn and therefore you are experiening Saturn in Capricorn for the second time, the first being at your birth and early childhood years. Now it is time to let go of anything in your life that is not serving you. This can be jobs, habits, relationships, anything that is not meant to be taken with you on this next 28 year cycle. This is a great time to figure out where you are putting in the hard work, where you are willing to give diligence and extend rigor.
This will be a period of great strides for us, we will be able to get work done that we never thought possible before. And the new structures that are built will last for a very long time.
