WINTER SOLSTICE

WINTER SOLSTICE

21 December 2018

This years Winter Solstice Falls on a Full Moon in Caner and there is an epic meteor shower (which we probably won’t see due to the Full Moon) in the Northern Hemisphere. The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year which is of course followed by the longest night. For the past six months, since the Summer Solstice the days have been getting shorter and the nights longer. For the next six months we will be doing the opposite, the nights will be getting shorter and we will be letting in the light for longer and longer each day.

This is a very pivotal point in the year, it is the point at which we see that the darkness is not forever and that light and new life will come again. These short days and long nights can be dreary and cold. It is normal for this time of year to awaken depressive tendencies and make our action and will power slowly fade into the shadows. With the Winter Solstice there is a rebirth of ourselves with the light.

The first part of this process is reflection, a keen and discerning eye as we move back over 2018. This is a time for deep pondering and a wandering around in the shadows. It is important to see what we have learned, especially in the darker times. These lessons are what will help us draw in the light and what will be needed in 2019.

The second part of this rebirth is the death itself. Once we have reflected on this past year and seen what is working for us and what is clearly (or not so clearly as the case may be) not working for us we are ready to begin to let go. This letting go and saying good by is the ending — the death — to make way for the new beginning.

The third part, once we have made space, is all about setting intentions for the light. We want to usher in this New Year with a clean and open heart and a soul that is ready to burn in the embers. It is time to see what is coming up ahead for us in 2019. As we move into this time of increased light we too want to increase our involvement with the universal elements and bring forth all that we have learned from the shadow and dark times.

The forth part is probably the trickiest, and maybe the most important. This part is all about letting integration happen. We must take all three phases — reflection, letting go, intention — and bring them together as we move into the New Year. It is by having all parts that we are whole. We can not be so focused on the light that we forget what the dark has taught us. And at the same time we can not be so focused on the shadow that we do not see that light that is casting it.

For it is only with light that we have shadow. Please book your 2019 New Year Reading today. Follow the link below to get in on this awesome deal !!!!!
